Your mission is to...
- Use your knowledge and experience to help high-end custom home installers create design for the intelligent home in the California market.
- Ensure that Basalte continues to grow within the luxury residential market in the region. Your enthusiastic mindset convinces installers and influencers of the added value that our high-quality design solutions offer.
- Understand the local business and act to it.
- Give demo's, invite the installers, designers and architects to the showroom(s) and become a partner of theirs to co-develop their project pipeline.
- Visit interior designers who work with installers, as well as architects and, to a lesser extent, the end customer or representative of the end customer.
- Communicate with the colleagues in the US and in Belgium. You report to the head of the US business. On occasion you come to Belgium for a showroom visit with customers or event.
We expect you to ...
- Have a minimum of five years sales experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding expectations, working independently and building the business.
- Have a minimum of three years experience with home automation, smart homes or adjacent (e.g. audio, video or lighting), preferably in the residential space.
- Are an impeccable and sincere communicator, both orally and written.
- Have affinity with technology, design and have a big network within the integrator and/or design community (interior designers, architects,...).
- Posses a temperament resistant to stress and one who thrives with achievement.
- Can work independently and become the eyes and ears of Basalte in your region.
- Are living in the region of California.

Home office, region of California and occasionally the US office / training center in Salt Lake City.
You're in close contact with your three colleagues in the US and you report to the Sales Director in Belgium.
